In the light-flooded foyer in the “West” entrance area under a huge glass roof, slowflyers have optimal conditions to show the audience exciting demonstrations and breathtaking flight maneuvers. In addition to a show program, manufacturers will present their latest models to the public.

With professional RC electric flight models as well as creatively self-built unique models, celestial choreos as well as witty stories will once again be flown in the large, light-flooded foyer WEST. The program of the indoor flight show is especially fun for kids and their families – and maybe they want more? No problem: Just stroll into the adjacent large flight hangar and get some advice! Here, visitors can get direct info on the latest innovations from the brand-name manufacturers who are helping to run the air shows. In addition, professional help for tinkering and plenty of tips on flying from the experts here at FASZINATION MODELLBAU are among the popular standards.

Vertical launchers and homebuilt helicopters

Promising are also the commitments for the “FMT Indoor Action” in the 30×30 m flying field of the West Foyer of the fair: A year and a half of development has gone into the trijet vertical takeoff with thrust vector control by Dietmar Metz, which offers gyro-assisted hovering and normal flight without transition as a special feature. The self-built Dash-Q-300 by Christof Tittel and Daniel Hör has a generous 2.2 m wingspan, but weighs only 550 g, powered by two 5 g motors with 1:10 gears and self-built propellers (12 inch, four-blade).

Completely self-developed in the 700 class are the Ultralight-Helis by Christof Tittel, Jürgen Schönle and Daniel Hör, which fly at an extremely low RPM and are therefore very quiet. The take-off weight is a staggering 850 g, the rotor head is a proprietary design made of 3D printed parts, and the self-developed rotor blades have a weight of only 65 g per blade.
