A team of various clubs at booth 5030 in hall A5 of the Neckarpiraten is in charge of the “Shipyard for Kids”. Children between the ages of 7 and 16 get into action here and build their own model boat under expert guidance, then set it out to sea on the specially constructed small water basin. At table height in the 4×3 m and 20 cm shallow water basin, the wind conditions are optimal, depending on the model. After the launch and test drive, the children get to take their new model home. Up to 10 children can participate in the craft activity at the same time. Crafting time varies depending on the model about 20-60 minutes
