Shipyard for kids of the Neckarpiraten

The Neckarpiraten team is once again inviting visitors to the popular “Werft für Kids” event at Faszination Modellbau this year—an absolute highlight you definitely shouldn’t miss at this year’s trade show!

Isn’t there still a little bit of childhood in all of us? Model building fascinates people of all ages and brings generations together—from the youngest hobbyist to the most experienced tinker. That’s why we warmly welcome not only children ages 6 and up, but everyone who enjoys creating something of their own with colorful sails.

This year, young captains and hobbyists can once again build their own exciting “Sailing-Uhu” model sailboat under professional guidance. It’s back by popular demand from visitors in 2025.

In just 15 minutes, you can create small, colorful sailboat masterpieces that can then be launched and tested right away in the 4 x 3-meter mini-pond in Hall A5. The pond, equipped with fans, is located directly across from the “Kids’ Shipyard.”
