Modellbau Friedrichshafen – Mecca of model aircraft construction

The Faszination Modellbau: Friedrichshafen is the mecca of model aircraft building. Every year, exhibitors in Hall A3 experience anew just how immense the fascination with the hobby of model flying is, as the rush to their booths and display areas shows no sign of letting up. Individuals and club members display magnificent model airplanes on display platforms or let them glide down from the hall ceiling. The offerings from renowned manufacturers and retailers range from model airplanes for beginners and advanced enthusiasts to control systems, electronics, and a wide array of accessories.

Show and action are offered, among other things, by the agile Slowflyers, who display their aerial supremacy in the light-flooded foyer in the “West” entrance area with breathtaking flight maneuvers.

The adjacent airport site is also dedicated to model aircraft construction. From Friday to Sunday, the most spectacular models of the season will take to the skies at the popular international air show “Stars of the Year”. Experienced pilots, including world and European champions, fly the top models of the year and show impressive and breathtaking flight demonstrations.
