From 31 October to 2 November 2025, FASZINATION MODELLBAU, together with the Echtdampf-Hallentreffen (real steam indoor meeting) and the LEGO fan exhibition, exceeded all expectations: Over 50,000 visitors flocked to Friedrichshafen, enjoyed three eventful days at the Lake Constance border triangle \u2013 and, together with the huge array of exhibitors, once again made the event the largest of its kind.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

An event that exceeded all expectations<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018FASZINATION MODELLBAU 2025 was an extraordinary success,\u2019 sums up Andreas Wittur, authorised signatory of the organising Messe Sinsheim. He continues: \u2018With over 50,000 visitors, we have even reached the strong pre-corona level and have once again proven that this event is the largest of its kind.\u2019<\/p>\n

The overwhelming success of this trade fair was no coincidence: the unique combination of spectacular shows, hands-on activities and the world’s largest variety of model building made these three days an unforgettable event. From the FMT Airshow at the international airport to the steaming locomotives of the Echtdampf-Hallentreffen and the creative LEGO worlds \u2013 nowhere else can we experience such a wide range of attractions at the highest level.<\/p>\n

Experience instead of just watching<\/strong><\/p>\n

What sets Faszination Modellbau apart from other events is its unique hands-on nature: visitors can not only marvel at the exhibits, but also get involved themselves. From the walk-in, four-kilometre-long track layout of the Echtdampf-Hallentreffen, on which the public is even allowed to ride, to the numerous workshops and interactive stations \u2013 there are opportunities for hands-on activities everywhere.<\/p>\n

Children and young people were able to try their hand at building and controlling RC cars, ships and model aircraft, while experienced model builders deepened their knowledge in practical lectures and training courses. This combination of watching and participating, inspiration and practical application, ensures an unforgettable experience for all generations.<\/p>\n

New products to touch and try out<\/strong><\/p>\n

With its date at the end of the current season and before the new one, Faszination Modellbau is the ideal place for presenting new products. But unlike at pure product trade fairs, visitors here can not only view the innovations, but often also try them out and test them directly.<\/p>\n

Thorsten Rechthaler from aero-naut sums it up: “Every year, we look forward to this leading trade fair for model making in Friedrichshafen on beautiful Lake Constance. This is where we showcase all our new products \u2013 and once again we received a great response from visitors.\u2018 Christina Kerschbaum from Herpa says: \u2019Of course, we also brought our new models with us: for example, our new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in a Christmas design and the new fire-fighting vehicle from the Friedrichshafen fire brigade.”<\/p>\n

Bernd Brand from ScaleArt is simply thrilled: \u2018Faszination Modellbau is the most important trade fair of the year for us. It is in a great location in the border triangle, the atmosphere is always fantastic \u2013 and we look forward to presenting our new products exclusively here every year.\u2019 It is particularly important to him to offer visitors something special: \u2018We have created a very challenging course that directly demonstrates the performance capabilities of the models in practice.\u2019<\/p>\n

Exchange between people<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the age of online commerce, personal contact between manufacturers, retailers and customers is becoming increasingly valuable. Faszination Modellbau offers precisely this atmosphere: here, like-minded people meet, exchange experiences and receive expert advice directly from the experts.<\/p>\n

Jochen Gabbert from BRAWA notes: \u2018It was a really well-attended trade fair. The aisles were full and we had lots of customers and fans at our stand.\u2019 Christian Auerweck from ROCO\/Fleischmann is also delighted with the many personal encounters: Faszination Modellbau is particularly important to us. We are very pleased to be represented in Friedrichshafen with our ROCO and Fleischmann brands. We always make lots and lots of customer contacts here.<\/p>\n

The success of the event lies in its unique formula: spectacular demonstrations meet expert consultations, highly professional exhibitions meet playful hands-on activities, international exhibitors meet local and national associations.
